Redcliffe Junior Football Club would like to launch our Indigenous Guensay. This is from Ben Stubbs (Perth Demons Player)
Story of design
The blue Sash represents the Derbarl Yerrigan which is Nyoongar language for The Swan River.
At the top left of the guernsey is a person sitting around an honey ant. This is a representation of Myself and the Honey Ants that are found in the Gold Field’s and Wangkatha Tribe where I’m from.
Down bottom left is a meeting place with boys and girls all coming together around trees representing the Redcliffe football club.
Waaltj in the middle is Nyoongar word for eagle. With the eagle tracks on each side of the river
The 6 circles in the middle, through the sash is representing the 6 Nyoongar seasons, Birak, Bunuru, Djeran, Makuru, Djilba and Kambarang. Redcliffe JFC would like to Thank the Perth Football Club and Ben and Sam Stubbs.
